The weather map promises fair, and we were able to get chairs out onto the towpath until it was ready to go.
Theo was more interested in teasing the ducks.
Eventually we managed to get some work out of them as we started back up the canal towards Skipton. This is swing bridge country.
Sometimes we found ourselves waiting while other boats came through the bridges we'd opened.
But it's swings and roundabouts, and we got through a couple that others had opened.
Once in Skipton we managed to pack in filling up with water, lunch, some down time, a Morrisons shop and a visit to Aireville Park. All very satisfactory.
And the evening and the morning were the first day.
